This week has been so great and uplifting! I loved Elder Ballards talk about how the Lord can rebuild us, which reminds me of something Sarah Baird shared about how, with the Atonement and the help of our Lord Heavenly Father, we can be changed into something new, i believe its a quote by CS Lewis that says,
“Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you know that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of- throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.”
Antonio and Jennifer are doing really good! They weren’t able to go to general conference, but they are doing super well, they have had some problems with family members and the church, some of them are testigos and began telling them they are going to hell if they continue to listen to us, and Jennifer just sat there listening but then they began saying Joseph Smith was a crazy man that was on drugs and that was when she began to defend the church, she shared her testimony and said that the things she’s learned in this church and the things she’s felt cannot be changed for anything, and she said she will not leave this church but wants to be baptized in it, and politely excused herself and left, when she shared that with us, i was almost in tears, because these are people that are not even members yet, but the have no shame in declaring what they know to be true, they have taught me a lot about what it means to be brave in sharing this gospel and defending these gospel truths.
I love you all so much send my love!
